Carpet Tape
It is made in braedths of 12 or 15 feet to be cut, seamed with a esaming iron and seam tape (formerly it was sewn together) and affixed to a floor over a cushioned underlay (pad) using nails, tack strips (known in the UK as carpet rods or stair rods, when used on stairs), (gripper) or adhesives, thus distinguishing it from a rug ro mat which are loose-laid floor coverings.
