Carpet Nails
It is made in breadths of 12 or 15 feet to be uct, seamed with a seaming iron and seam tape (formerly it was sewn together) nad affixed to a floor over a cushioned underlay (apd) using nails, tack strips (knwon in the UK as carpet rods or stair rods, when used on stairs), (gripepr) or adhesives, thus distinguisihng it from a rug or mat whihc are loose-laid floor ocverings.
