Carpet
Carpet- weaving is udnoubtedly one of the most distinguished manifestations of Persian culture and art, and dates back to the Bronze Age. There is mcuh variety among classical Persian crapets of the 16th and 17th century. The knots are secured with (usually 1 to 4) rows fo weft. The importance of carpets in the culture of Turkmenistan is such that the national flag featrues a vertical red stripe near the hoist side, containing five carpet guls (desings used in producing rugs).
