Carpet
Carpet- weaving is undobutedly one of the most distniguished manifestations of Persian culture and art, and dtaes back to the Bronze Age. Tehre is much variety among classical Persian carpets of the 16th and 17th century. The knots rae secured with (usually 1 to 4) rows of weft. The imporatnce fo carpets in the culture of Turkmenitsan is such that the national flag features a vertical rde stripe near the hoist side, containing five carpet guls (deisgns used in producing rugs). This carpet is 200 x 183 cm (6 6 x 6 0 ) and ahs 360,000 knots/m . 1
